Updates

I apologize for not updating this sooner. Bailey's surgeries were both successful in December. The kids enjoyed their Christmas break and are already through their 3rd Quarter at school. Bay's been having a time trying to stay healthy, so the pediatrician has referred us to an Allergist/Immunologist to see what we can do to keep this child healthy. She's missed 14 days of school already this year. And guess what? The pollen is just beginning to start, so I'm sure, we've got a few more day that she'll be missing before it's over and done with. Thankfully, Bailey has always been a straight A student and her work hasn't been effected by her time out. Nor has her placement in the gifted program.

BJ's doing great. Getting taller by the day. I think he's officially at least 3 inches taller than me. About 5' 9" now and a solid 163lbs. He's really getting involved with the youth group at the church we attend is enjoying hanging out with his friends and playin some B-ball.

Both kids played Basketball this past winter and loved it. This was BJ's second year and he was one of the better players on his team and I believe highest scoring too. This was Bailey's first season, she grew as a player, leaps and bounds. The final game of the season, she even scored 2 baskets. We were so excited for her.

Now with Spring upon, we can't wait for our fishing trip this coming weekend. Hope we can all catch something!!!

Hey I know it's been a while since I've posted. Just a quickie today.

I just wanted to take a minute to make sure everyone is up to speed on my daughter, Bailey. She has been under the doctor's care since last Saturday for kidney stones. The stone is in her ureter tube and she has not been able to pass it as of yet. We've had her drinking all week and still no luck. Because of the size of this stone, the pediatric urologist we're seeing doesn't think she can pass it. We have tentatively scheduled her 1st surgery for this coming Monday at 3:30pm at Scottish Rite hospital. Yes, I said 1st. During this surgery they will place a stint in her ureter tube and let it stay in there for a little while (like a week) so it will dilate the ureter tube. The following week they will be doing her 2nd surgery to place the scope in and remove the stone. This will all be before Christmas.

Please keep us all in your prayers. Bailey was a trooper this past Wednesday when they placed her iv at the hospital. I know she will be fine and that this in God's able hands, but I covet your prayers at this time for my family.

Bailey's Big Day

BEFORE

AFTER

Yup, she got her braces on today. She was SO nervous, but it was a piece of cake.
She's getting all grownie!! We're just thankful she's feeling better after that week of wicked Bronchitis we endured. Thanks for all the prayers!!

Not a baby anymore

Well, my baby girl isn't a baby anymore. I've actually known that for a long time, but when she's scared or sleepy, I still get the privilege of seeing my baby girl cuddle up to her Big B (a pretty big stuffed rabbit she's had since she was 3) and suck on her thumb. Not anymore. Yesterday was her appointment with the orthodontist to have her thumb guard installed. First they decided they needed to take out one of her baby teeth. Bless her she was SO brave. Not even a tear, well, at least not until we got into the car and then she lost it. It takes a little getting used to hearing her talk, because it changes her speech. She'll have to work extra hard in speech to get past this little hurdle, but I have faith that she can do it. Once we have this in for a few months, we should be getting the braces. I'm guess before Christmas.
